Flare, born as a younger twin in a regulated society called a Garden that forbids her very existence, is one day exiled for being the suspected cause of a plague that started the day she was born, biting the bullet and taking charge of her life for once, decides to cross the unforgiving outside world in search of a cure to the plague, all in the hopes she'll finally be recognized as an equal in the eyes of the world that brought her up.
